Project Hybrid - TLT, HiLift, Landcruiser

I want to make a leaf sprung truck. And if your going to limit yourself with leafs springs you might as make it as scale as possible. Right?

Why this truck came about:

I decided I wanted to make a leaf sprung truck and if your going to go that scale you might as well go all the way.

Chassis

I started with a Diaz HiLift frame. I then went to town modifying it to the way I wanted it to be. The stock frame uses the stock HiLift mounts. I widened the frame and attached the mounts to the frame itself.

BodyA Pro-line 1/8th scale Land Cruiser, none of the less detailed Bushwacker for this build. Paint is Tamiya white backed.

Drivetrain

The drivetrain consists of a Tamiya HiLift 3 speed tranny matched to Traxxas steel yokes, Traxxas stampede shafts, and Tamiya TLT axles.

Radio / Motor / ESC / Batteries

A Integy 55t lathe motor allows great run times and a good scale speed. A LRP esc resides under the hood, and a custom GP3300 pack that rests in the back of the chassis.
